Port of Spain Test between India and West Indies drawn due to rain
Team India won the 2 test series 1-0

New Delhi. The one whose fear was troubling, happened. The last day of the Port of Spain Test between India and West Indies was washed out due to rain and India lost their chance to clean sweep the Caribbean team 2-0. India needed 8 wickets to win on the fifth and last day, but rain dashed all hopes. The hide and seek of rain and sunshine continued for the first few hours and then a decision had to be taken to cancel the last day’s play and the match was declared a draw.

We came down with the intention of winning: Rohit
Even though India could not clean sweep the West Indies, but the performance of Team India in this Test series was excellent. Apart from bowling, batting, India also did well in fielding. After the match, Indian captain Rohit Sharma said about the series victory, “Every victory is different. Playing in West Indies or India has its own challenges. I am very happy that things happened the way they did here. Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to play on the last day… We really went in yesterday with a positive intent and wanted a result. We were pretty sure. Knew how difficult it is to bat on this wicket and at the end. We always wanted that kind of score where teams try to win.

‘Siraj bowled brilliantly’
Rohit further said, “There was not much in the pitch. Some balls were turning after falling on the rough patch, nothing more was in the wicket. The Indian captain also praised Mohammad Siraj. He said, “In the last few years, Siraj has taken a big step in his career and has led the Indian pace attack brilliantly in the absence of Bumrah-Shami. But you don’t want to depend on one or two individuals. We have played good Test cricket and I hope we can continue with that.”

Indian captain Rohit Sharma said that the performance of every player in this Test series was good. In the second Test, when we needed to score quick runs, we promoted Ishaan and he scored quick runs. Virat Kohli also batted brilliantly. That is, both young and experienced players understood their role very well and batted accordingly. We would like to be better in all three departments of the game.
