New Delhi. Everyone was waiting for the game to start on the fifth day of the second match of the two Test series being played between India and West Indies in Port of Spain. Team India tightened its grip on the host West Indies in this match on the fourth day itself. Declaring the second innings at 181 runs for 2 wickets, a huge target of 365 runs was set in front of the team. Rain disrupted the last day of the match and the game of the first session was completely ruined.

The Indian team is currently on a Caribbean tour where it is playing a two-match Test series. India won the first match by an innings in just three days. Batting first in the second match, Captain Rohit Sharma’s Fifty and Virat Kohli’s brilliant century scored a score of 438 runs. India declared the second innings at 181 for 2 wickets after the hosts were bundled out for 255 runs in the first innings. At the end of the fourth day’s play, West Indies had lost two wickets for 76 runs.

Team India forced to stay in hotel

Even before the start of the fifth day of the match, the play of the first session was washed away due to the threat of rain and continuous torrential rain. On the fifth day of the match, 80 percent rain was predicted by the Meteorological Department, which proved to be correct.



According to the time of Port of Spain, it continued to rain till 11 am. Because of this, the players of the Indian team were forced to stay locked in their hotel rooms. According to ESPN’s report, the players of the team did not step outside the hotel even after the time of the match due to rain.
