Hyderabad. British MP Lord Karan Bilimoria has said that India will be the world’s largest economy by 2060. Bilimoria made the remarks at the recently held alumni investiture ceremony at Hyderabad Public School (HPS) in Begumpet. He said that India has left Britain behind and is now the fifth largest economy in the world. Bilimoria told ‘PTI-Bhasha’, ‘The eyes of the whole world are on India. There is no doubt that India is soon going to join the three superpowers of the world.
Lord Karan Bilimoria said that I estimate that in the next 25 years, India’s gross domestic product (GDP) will be $ 32 trillion and it will become the second largest economy in the world. I also believe that by 2060 India will become the largest economy in the world.
India-UK Free Trade Agreement expected to be implemented soon
The British MP expressed hope that the India-UK Free Trade Agreement which is being discussed will come into force soon. He said that the trade between the two countries is growing very fast and now it has exceeded 30 billion pounds annually. Bilimoria also said that British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak should visit India with a large delegation.
