Railways provided facility to give relief to troubled passengers
This facility has been implemented across the country
New Delhi. In order to provide relief to passengers troubled by non-booking of tickets from IRCTC site due to technical fault, Indian Railways has temporarily provided a facility, so that instead of wandering here and there, passengers can book tickets directly by visiting these places. The new facility has been implemented across the country.
According to Shivaji Sutar, Director (Information and Publication), Railway Board, for the convenience of passengers booking tickets, additional ticket windows have been opened at all railway stations across the country under PRS (Public Reservation System), through which passengers can go and book tickets. These additional windows have been opened at the counters in normal PRS only. Railway officials are constantly reviewing these additional windows and their number can be increased if needed.

According to Northern Railway CPRO Deepak Kumar, additional counters have been opened at railway stations and ticket counters in Delhi for the convenience of passengers. In these, two additional counters have been opened at New Delhi station, two at Delhi Junction, one at Shahdara, one at Okhla, one at Nizamuddin station, one at Sarojini Nagar station, one at Sabji Mandi station, one at Kirti Nagar and one at Azadpur station.
