SMS Hospital became a victim of plight
Stray dogs – risk of infection to patients from cats
Instead of solving the problem, the administration is constantly ignoring
Jaipur. Thousands of patients from all over the country including the state come daily for treatment at Sawai Man Singh Hospital located in the biggest capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur. But this hospital has become a victim of plight these days. There are victims of the plight of the hospital wards. Sometimes water gets filled in the ward and sometimes complaints about cleanliness keep coming forward. Now a new crisis has arisen in front of the patients and their relatives who come here for treatment.
In fact, cats have created terror in the general ward of the hospital. Here cats roam with the whole herd and snatch food items and fall on each other. Patients admitted to the hospital and their relatives get scared after seeing the quarrel between the cats. Patients admitted to the hospital told that coming and going of dogs and cats in the ward of SMS Hospital has now become a common thing. Till now no statement has come from the administration regarding the problems of the patients.
Patients are in danger of life
Due to the entry of stray animals in the ward of the hospital, the risk of infection has increased in the patients admitted here. Apart from this, there is always a danger of animals attacking the patients. The relatives of the patients are being threatened by the safety of the patients due to the security guards stopping them from going to the ward. A few days back the hospital was flooded due to rain, after which the patients were shifted to a different ward. At the same time, pictures of stray dogs and cats roaming freely in the hospital have raised questions on the security arrangements of the hospital.
Medical minister gave absurd statement on waterlogging
Due to the heavy rains of the monsoon season in Rajasthan, there were complaints of water filling in many hospitals including SMS Hospital. When the matter came to the fore, instead of solving the problem, the medical minister of the state shirked the responsibility. Speaking in defense of the government system, he had given a statement that there are 50 to 100 years old hospitals in the capital. Incidents like waterlogging are natural in such old hospitals.
