Airport security will be tighter, this special machine will tell what is hidden inside the body

New Delhi. Security is being tightened to prevent illegal items from being carried at the airport. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has started work in this direction. Such equipment will be installed at all the airports of the country in a phased manner, so that nothing can be carried hidden inside the body. This machine will tell anything and everything.

According to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, in order to make the security and hardening of the airport, the security system like foreign countries is going to be implemented here. Full body scanner has been planned at the airport. All these will be installed at the airport in a systematic manner. After applying these, it will not be possible to carry anything inside the body.

Apart from this, to further improve the security infrastructure at the airport, emphasis is being laid on installation of modern equipment like Computer Tomography Explosive Detection System (CTEDS) machine, Dual Generator X-BIS machine and Automated Tray Retrieval System (ATRS). Also, instructions have been issued for minimum technical specification for Perimeter Intrusion Detection System (PIDS).

According to the ministry, it has been planned to install Radiological Detection Equipment (RDE) at the airport in a phased manner. Currently, Biometric Centralized Access Control System has been started at 48 airports. Comprehensive training guidelines are being prepared for regulatory authorities, airport security units, aircraft operators and security personnel working in regulated agencies.
