New Delhi. The release of Farhan Akhtar and Sonam Kapoor starrer film ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ has completed 10 years. Released in the year 2013, this film was based on the life of Milkha Singh and the audience liked it a lot. Now, on the occasion of completion of a decade of the film’s release, the film makers have given a wonderful gift to the audience. The film’s director Rakesh Omprakash Mehra has recently announced to release the film in theaters once again.
During a conversation with Hindustan Times, the film director said that Milkha Singh is no longer present among us. That’s why we want to pay tribute to him by releasing this film in theaters once again. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra says, “We are going to hold a special screening for the cast, crew and entire team of the film. Milkha ji’s daughter will also join us and his son who is currently in London will try his best to join. Let me tell you, on July 26, the screening of the film has been kept in Mumbai.

After the special screening of the film, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ will be released in theaters on 6th August. Rakesh further says that this film has become increasingly popular since its release. This film has a different meaning for everyone. ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ is a source of inspiration for many. He further adds, “This film has inspired everyone, not just sportspersons or gym goers. I have met many such people across the world who have achieved something in life by being inspired by the film. Now this film is not mine but the audience’s.
Sonam Kapoor took only 11 rupees.
‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ was a very special film for director Rakesh Omprakash Mehra as well as for the star cast of the film. There are many stories related to this film, but there is one story which attracted everyone’s attention. Actually, for the shooting of this film, actress Sonam Kapoor took a fee of just Rs 11. The film director himself has mentioned this in his book.
