But now customers themselves are preferring to do online shopping. 38 percent of Indian consumers expect their delivery to be done in less than two hours. This thing has come to the fore in a recent study.
A global report by Wunderman Thompson states that Indians are the most impatient online shoppers in the world and around 38% of consumers expect their delivery to be in less than two hours. Adit Palicha, co-founder of quick commerce platform Zepto, said Indian customers prefer fast delivery. This is remarkably evident in customer retention data, survey data and even in regular conversations we have with our customers.

India at the forefront of all countries
Meanwhile, quick delivery service has grown very fast. There are many quick grocery platforms in India like Swiggy Instamart, Blinkit, Dunzo, Big Basket Now and Zepto. These quick delivery apps have delivered groceries to customers within an average time frame of 30 minutes. While shopping online, most of the users are focused on the fact that their goods should reach them as soon as possible. According to the report, which surveyed more than 31,000 consumers in 18 international markets, India also leads among all countries with the highest percentage of digital products purchased online at 45%.
India is also ahead in terms of returns
According to Wunderman Thompson, a whopping 72% of consumers globally said they would not purchase from retailers, brands or marketplaces that do not match their expectations. In addition, more than one-third or more than 37% of the products are returned by Indians, who are the second highest returning country after UAE.
