People give different reasons for Musk’s attachment to X.
New Delhi. Elon Musk, the world’s richest person, has changed the Twitter logo to X. People may think this is a sudden change but it is not so. If you look at the names of Elon Musk’s companies and the people in his life (his children), you will find that his love for X is very old. There is no definite answer as to what is the reason behind this. Nor has he himself ever thrown any light on it. However, people who know him closely definitely try to explain this love towards his ex.
Before changing the logo of Twitter, Musk had said that he would replace Twitter’s brand with X. He has described X as a symbol of those shortcomings present inside all the people which make us different i.e. unique. Kanye artist Claire Boucher, who is the mother of two of Musk’s children, says that one of her children is named X because it represents something in algebra (a section of mathematics) that no one knows about (eg – find the value of X in this equation). Author Leon F. Selzer explains that Musk likes the X because it can be used as a symbol for many things. He says that X can be used for life or death, to increase (multiply) or to eliminate (cancel) something, and for every situation from nothing to everything.

Musk started a payment banking in 1999. Its name was X.com. He was also advised to change this name, but he did not do so. Later X.com became PayPal and it was acquired by eBay. In 2017, Musk once again bought the X.com domain name from PayPal. Today, searching X.com will take you directly to Twitter. Musk’s aim is to create a platform where people will get every day-to-day item or service at one place. His vision for X.com was similar. The company’s CEO Linda Yaccarino has also confirmed that X will no longer be just a means of communication, but much more can be done from here.
Musk and X
Musk’s companies have X in their names. We have told you the name of Musk’s first company above. Apart from this, SpaceX, Tesla Model X and his son’s name are X AE A-XII in the existing companies. The name of the Artificial Intelligence company started by him recently is xAI. The companies through which Musk has acquired Twitter are also named X Holdings.
